2022 Virtual Keepin’ It Renal – 5K Fun Run/Walk

We are inviting all runners and walkers around the world to join the Chris “CJ” Johnson Foundation, Inc. (United States) and Ricky Casey Trust Foundation (United Kingdom) on March 26, 2022 for the 9th Annual Keepin’ It Renal Global Virtual Run/Walk. The virtual event allows you to complete your 5K anywhere and at your own pace between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Practice social distancing by choosing your location, whether on the treadmill, in your neighborhood, or your favorite walking trail. T-Shirts are included in your registration and will be mailed to you prior to the event if you register by March 1st.
Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC) afflicts a very vulnerable population that is young, mainly African Americans and people of color. Because of their age, many do not have health insurance and must depend on public assistance to obtain healthcare in their state. Unfortunately, they are denied access to clinical trials at institutions with cutting-edge research because of their insurance or lack of. Our goal is to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities by allowing individuals diagnosed with RMC access to clinical trials. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to accelerate the research efforts for this population.
