12th Annual Keepin’ It Renal Run/Walk-An Unstoppable Force for RMC Awareness
- March 23, 2025

Our “12th Annual Keepin’ It Renal Run/Walk” was a tremendous success, bringing together approximately 500 participants from around the world! We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from our RMC community, whose dedication and commitment continue to make a difference in the fight against renal medullary carcinoma (RMC).
A heartfelt thank you to our major sponsors—your generosity allows us to continue our mission of raising awareness, supporting families, and advancing research. Special appreciation to:
Diamond: Moran Giving Fund Platinum: The Threat Family, Pfizer, Rex & Rose Everett, Vertex Silver: John and Juanita Allen, Family and Friends of Dr. Ana Maldonado, Aisha Gray, INOV8 Surgical, Kidney Cancer Association, UT MD Anderson Cancer Center Bronze: Boon Urology, Dr. Daniel Shapiro, Marc Johnson Family, Marcel & Cydnee Threat, Lump Mayberry, Jarel & Darah Threat, INOV Orthopedics, Houston Methodist Sugar Land, Ladell & Gwendolyn Graham Corporate: Life Essential Chiropractic, Joel Stern, Dorothy Osuorji, Joey Cox Family, Dentists of Richmond, National Association for Health Services Executives (Houston Chapter), Revolution Ink and Threads, American Door, Dr. Bernadette Bonaparte, and Lee Esther’s Creole.
We were honored to have RMC warriors share their personal journeys, inspiring us with their resilience and strength. Families who have lost a loved one also courageously shared their stories, reminding us why we must continue this fight. Additionally, we were privileged to hear from Drs. Pavlos Msaouel and Nizar Tannir, who provided important updates on RMC research and ongoing efforts to improve treatment options. A special shout out to our volunteers who came out early to set things up.
This event was more than just a walk—it was a movement. A movement of hope, remembrance, and action. With each step taken and each voice raised, we are making a difference in the lives of those affected by RMC.
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this year’s event. Together, we are an unstoppable force for RMC awareness!
