A Message of Hope, Healing and Strength Through Music By Ritchie Johnson
- May 17, 2026

Please join us in showing love and support to George Andre Thrower, an incredible musician, vocalist, and warrior in the Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC) community. George, who resides in Nevada, was diagnosed with RMC in August 2024 at the age of 55. Like so many others facing this rare and aggressive kidney cancer, his journey has not been easy.
In December 2024, after learning that his cancer was spreading and his local oncologist had no experience treating RMC, George was referred to Ritchie Johnson with the Chris “CJ” Johnson Foundation. Through the foundation, he was connected with renowned RMC expert Dr. Pavlos Msaouel at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston — a connection that brought renewed hope and specialized care.
Today, George continues to fight courageously and is doing much better. Filled with gratitude for the love and support he received from the RMC community, he decided to give back in the most meaningful way he knows how — through music.
As a lifelong musician and vocalist, George composed a beautiful song inspired by this journey. His hope is that the song will bring encouragement, inspiration, healing, and strength to everyone impacted by RMC — patients, caregivers, families, and supporters alike.
George shared these heartfelt words:
“I love you all. We are all in this together and will make it through together. We are an unstoppable force.”
This song, Black Marble, is more than music — it is a testimony of faith, resilience, unity, and hope. It is also a reminder of the importance of organizations like the Chris “CJ” Johnson Foundation, which continues to connect patients to life-saving resources, specialists, and a community that truly understands.
We hope this song touches your heart and inspires you to support the mission of helping others facing RMC. No one should walk this journey alone.
