On March 25, 2017, over 200 warriors hit the track as advocates for Renal Medullary Carcinoma.  Our event would not have been successful without our generous sponsors, donors, participants, vendors and volunteers. We appreciate each and everyone of you.  This was the best event thus far.  A special thank you to Angie Gooden who rocked the house with God Bless America. Thank you to our Sponsors: Curtis & Janet Threat (Gold), Rex & Rose Everett (Gold), Paul Ryan Windows (Gold), Mr. & Mrs. Allen (Silver), Dr. Brian Anderson (Silver), First Colony Health & Rehabilitation Center (Silver), Dr. John Boon (Silver), Marc & Angela Johnson  (Silver), AT&T (Silver), Bank of New York Mellon (Bronze), Nancy Wenning (Bronze), Joey & Michelle Cox Family (Silver), Rick Little (Bronze), Lucille Carter (Bronze), Mike Tate “99” Tire & Automotive and Gloria Tubbs (Individual Friend of Chris Johnson).  This year we had individuals to solicit pledges from family and friends and they all did a magnificent job.  1st place-Curtis Threat, 2nd place- Willie Cobbin, 3rd place – Adrienne Brady, 4th place – Etta Patterson, 5th place – Jone Heard, 6th place – Debra Roberts and 7th place – Nancy Smith. We recognize and appreciate our volunteers and vendors: Raw Impact Motorcycle Club, Kempner Rotary Club, Lump Mayberry (Photographer), Houston Methodist Sugar Land, Watermark Graphics, Promotions Now, Sterling McCall Lexus, Eric Johnson (Randalls), Fish City Grill Sugar Land, Floyd’s Cajun Seafood, Gringos, Signarama Houston, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Sickle Cell of Houston & Kempner Rotary Club, The Champion Center and a host of volunteers.  It is because of the efforts of all these people that we are able to do for others and give back to the community.Together we are able to heighten awareness of RMC.  Through the foundation’s fundraisers, as well as partnerships with primary care physicians and urology specialists, we are able to provide educational materials to the public, financially support RMC Research and offer financial, emotional and spiritual support to the adolescents and young adults as they battle this aggressive and fatal kidney cancer.  We also recognize those individuals that are still fighting for their lives.  We would like to personally thank Melanie Prevost and Gwen Nash for joining forces with us.  These two ladies have personally experienced the pain of losing a loved one to RMC.  It is imperative that we continue our fight so that a cure will be found. CANCER will be HISTORY.  It takes a village to do all of the work and we need everyone around the world to join forces and “Make some Noise”.
