Our Newest Volunteer – Shanice Johnson

Shanice Johnson is a passionate public health and health education advocate and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). She received her undergraduate degree from LaSalle University in Philadelphia and a Masters in Public Health from the University of New England in 2019. Shanice has developed and implemented a variety of health education programs and fostered community partnerships with organizations and stakeholders to improve health outcomes and equity in New Jersey and California.

As a CHES, Shanice is dedicated to making a difference in her community by designing, implementing, and evaluating health education initiatives that empower individuals to make informed health decisions. CHES professionals like Shanice play a crucial role in promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing disease, and enhancing the quality of life within their communities.

Shanice’s most notable accomplishments include securing grant funding for two mental health organizations and developing impactful health education programs that changed the lives of others for the better. Community outreach is important to Shanice because it allows her to connect with individuals and communities directly, ensuring that health education and resources are accessible to those who need them most. In her free time, Shanice enjoys running and spending time with her fur-baby, Cali.
