RMC Advocacy through the 7th Annual Keepin’ It Renal Run/Walk 2020

This year because of COVID-19, the 7th Annual Keepin’ It Renal Run/Walk was postponed due to the pandemic. We could not let COVID-19 prevent us from our advocacy efforts and decided to have a virtual walk/run on June 6, 2020. Having our event virtually allowed people around the world to participate. For the first time ever, the US and UK came together as one as we continued to heighten RMC awareness. A special shout out to Nicola in the UK and Charissa in New Jersey for organizing their teams on short notice. Our event continues to grow each year and as we grow, we get stronger and louder. This year, the Chris “CJ” Johnson Foundation Inc. presented a check to Drs. Tannir and Msaouel for $5,000 to continue RMC research at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. None of this would have been possible without our sponsors, participants and volunteers. We appreciate each of you! We encourage other community base organizations with similar goals to join us as we continue to make an impact in the RMC community. A special thank you to Erica T.
