Jonathan Harden, 33, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away at his home on April 25, 2024, surrounded by family. In December 2023, Jonathan was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, unclassified with medullary phenotype (RCCU-MP) which is a very rare subtype of RMC that occurs in people who do not carry any sickle hemoglobinopathies such as sickle cell trait.
Jonathan was born on October 2, 1990 to Jeffrey and Kristine Harden. He graduated from Eastport-South Manor Jr/Sr High School in 2008. He earned a degree in Criminology from The University of West Virginia in 2012 before finding his calling as an Air-Traffic Controller for the FAA. He is remembered for his big heart, passion for fitness, and devotion to his family. A dedicated fitness enthusiast, he found solace in weight-lifting and strength training, alongside his passions for golf, dirt bike racing, and video games. He enjoyed musicals and Disney movies, relished in culinary competitions like Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions on the Food Network and never missed an opportunity to tease his mother.
Jonathan leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, forever etched in the hearts of his parents, Jeffrey and Kristine Harden, his brothers Joshua and Jason Harden, his nephews Benjamin Harden and niece Abigail Harden. Jonathan’s spirit will forever shine bright in their hearts.
